Took the truck in because it's been awhile and I figured the brakes needed to be done. Also wanted the oil changed. Daniel's guys checked the brakes and said I still had about 4000 miles on them. A less honest mech would have just wanted the money. Marin auto has a new customer for life, and you can bet I'll be there when the brakes are due. Good price for the oil change to boot.

We moved to the area about two years ago and could not be happier to find a local mechanic like Daniel Costa of Marin Automotive. He is a gifted mechanic and much more than that. He takes care of his customers and goes the extra mile. My car had a systemic radiator failure up in the hills of Northen California and I ended up back in Healdsburg at a random shop. Guys there were ok but could not solve my problem and were about to start a costly water pump replacement on my 92 Pathfinder. I was beyond stuck. I reached out to Daniel who has worked on the car before and even warned me about the radiator getting old and to watch it...and he arranged for a free tow over 50 miles and was able to fix my problem..which was not the water pump after all, saving me so much money and hassle. Besides that, my car runs AWESOME since he laid hands on it and has been taking care of it. He never does things that are unnecessary and even tells me ahead of time to watch this or next time we can do that..he is honest and fair. He is very professional and a pleasure to get to know. I can not recommend him enough

I have been a customer of Daniel's for the last seven years. He is by far the best and most honest mechanic I have dealt with. He is highly knowledgeable and professional, and always does a wonderful job. I had an ongoing (several years, kept recurring) issue with my car that three other mechanics charged me for yet could not fix correctly....well, Daniel not only knew exactly how to do the intricate (electrical system issues) repairs, he did it faster and charged me less! Daniel is my guy. I first met him when my Westphalia needed a smog test and I spent 5 minutes talking to him. Six months later I stopped to get some work done and he greeted me by name! He remembered my name after six months, having spent just 5 minutes with me. He got me there. Since then, always honest, professional, and personable service. He can be trusted to do the work you need and tell you when something can wait or be ignored. This is critical with auto repair.

Fairfax, CA 10/31/2011 I have been exceedingly pleased with both the integrity and excellent service @ Marin Automotive...being a female, I have been over-charged many times for auto repairs...I checked several businesses several years ago, found Daniel Costa, and never looked back. Daniel has never let me down, his work is excellent and he always goes out of his way to give me the best deal possible. He has even helped me find info, etc. without charge. All of my friends who I've referred to him have been equally pleased. Daniel is both a great mechanic and a kind person, who doesn't hesitate to go the extra mile to help out a customer...a rarity in my opinion. Go to him for all your car needs, you won't be disappointed.

I used to drive all the way up to Novato to get my Toyota Highlander Hybrid serviced but no more! I take it right to Daniel at Marin Automotive in downtown Fairfax. Great service and reasonable pricing and right here in my town. I've gone here for for all regular scheduled maintenance for about a 1 1/2 years now and my car runs great. Daniel is competent, thorough and just an all-around nice guy.
